Support - Shredded foam doesn't offer the same support as a mattress style bed, but it is comfortable, especially for dogs that like to curl up.

Water resistance - Ballistic material is not waterproof but does offer some protection against moisture.

Pondering whether this bed is the right choice, consider the price point. It's positioned at the higher end, but you are paying for quality and it's made from premium materials in the US. Long term it could out to be better value than continuously buying cheap beds, but not if your dog chews. 

Pros:

  1. Designed for Small and Large Dogs: Ample space for larger dogs.

  2. Material is hard wearing unlike some of the cheaper beds. It's NOT chew proof.

  3. USA certified foam means not off gasing.

  4. 120 warranty. If you cover is destroyed, they will replace it one time. 

  5. Variety of Sizes and Styles: A good range of sizes and other types of beds.

  6. Easy clean cover, but not waterproof.

Cons:

  1. Quite Expensive: The price jumps up quickly as you go up in size.

  2. Material can be chewed through easier than they imply in their descriptions.
     

Overall, K9 Ballistic beds are a good bed. But for the price they have serious competition.
